Ingredients
- 12 slices cinnamon raisin bread, from 16 ounce loaf, cut into 1/2" cubes
- 8 tablespoons butter
- 2 ribs celery, cut into 1/2" pieces
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 teaspoons dried majoram
- 2 apples, cored and cut into 1/2" chunks, 3 1/2 cups
- 1 1/2 cups lower-sodium chicken broth
- 1/4 teaspoon salt

Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350F. Butter 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Arrange bread in one layer on baking sheet. Bake until toasted, 5-8 minutes, turning over half-way through cooking time.
2. In large nonstick skillet, melt 6 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Add celery, onion and marjoram. Cook, stirring often, until softened, 8 minutes. Add apples; cook, stirring often, until tender, about 10 minutes. Stir in bread, broth and salt.
3. Transfer mixture to baking dish. Cut remaining 2 tablespoons butter into small pieces. Dot top of stuffing with butter. Cover with foil. Bake 25 minutes. Remove foil. Bake until browned, about 10 minutes.
