Ingredients

  • 3 cups half & half
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 packet of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Cotton Candy Flavor Mix

Preparation

Step 1

1. Put the half & half in a large saucepan and bring to a low boil over medium heat.
2. Beat eggs, egg yolks, salt & sugar in a mixer until light yellow and thick.
3. Add 1 cup warmed half & half to egg mixture in the mixer in a slow stream.
4. Add the egg mixture back to the saucepan and cook over medium low heat, stirring constantly.
5. When the mixture reaches 160 degrees and coats the back of a metal spoon, remove it from heat.
6. Cool mixture immediately by placing in an ice bath.
7. Add vanilla.
8. When you are ready to freeze it, add the frosting creations mixes and custard to the churner.
9. Freeze according to manufacturer's directions
