Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups all purpose flour sifted
- 1 1/2 cups roasted almonds, chopped coarsely

Preparation
Step 1
1. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugars until fluffy.
2. Beat in the eggs, vanilla, maple syrup and the 4 tablespoons flour to make a paste.
3. Add the remaining flour and lightly mix in. Add the baking soda and salt and mix well.
4. Fold in the toasted almonds and drop by tablespoon size lumps on an ungreased baking sheet.
5. Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 12-15 minutes. Let cool before removing.
