Ingredients

  • 6 oz room temp butter
  • 3 oz powdered sugar (5/8 cup)
  • 2 yolks hardboiled egg
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1.5 tsp vanilla
  • 1.5 c flour
  • egg wash: 1 yolk 1 tbsp water

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter and sugar in a mixer until fluffy. Mash the hardboiled egg yolks or press through a sieve. Add to butter mixture. Add milk and vanilla. Mix in the flour until it just comes together. Dough should be wet, don't add more flour. Gather dough together and knead with heel of hand until smooth. Wrap and chill at least 2 hours. Roll out onto floured surface to 1/8 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutter and place onto baking sheets. Chill before baking. Brush egg wash on top and chill briefly again. Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.
