Low-Carb Chili 1 Picture

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Ground Beef
  • 1 lb Ground Turkey (can use beef if don't like Turkey)
  • 1 medium Onion - diced
  • 2 ) 10 oz cans chili ready Tomatoes (with onions & chilies)
  • 1 ) 4 oz can green chilies (optional)
  • 1 ) 10 oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 Serrano Peppers (optional)
  • 1 Cup Chili Powder ( I only use 1/4 cup )
  • 1 garlic clove - minced
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper (optional)
  • 1/8 Cup Splenda (less or more depending on how sweet you like your chili)
  • 1 Green Pepper - diced
  • 1 Red Pepper - diced

Preparation

Step 1

In a large pot add olive oil, onion & bell peppers, saute for 2 minutes until
onions are translucent. Add garlic, salt & black pepper. Put all meat in pan
and saute until fully cooked. Drain 3/4 of oil from pan (leave some for flavor) Add both cans of tomatoes, mix. Add chili powder, mix. Add cayenne pepper & splenda and mix well. Let simmer on low heat for at least an hour, the longer it cooks, the better it tastes.
