Ingredients

  • 3 pounds Chuck Roast (boneless)
  • 2 1/2 cup water
  • Several garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon (each) garlic salt, onion salt, Italian seasoning, oregano, and basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Put first 3 ingredients in crock pot and cook on high for 5-5 1/2 hours. Strain juice and remove fat by cooling liquid in refridgerator.
Shred meat, removing fat and membrane.
*Put liquid (fat removed) back in crock pot.
Add next 7 ingredients (all spices).
Add shredded meat and heat through on high then keep warm on low.
Before serving, strain meat and put on a French Roll. Put juices in amll individual bowls for dipping.
**OR put liquid in pot on stove. Add next 7 ingredients. Add shredded meat. Bring toa boil then simmer 30 minutes.
