Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 t. vanilla
  • 3/4 cup cocoa
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t. baking soda
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 48 Rolo candies, unwrapped
  • 1 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 T. sugar

Step 1

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, cocoa and baking soda. In a large bowl, beat sugars and margarine. Add vanilla and eggs; beat well. Add flour mixture a little at a time. Stir in 1/2 cup pecans. With floured hands, shape dough around each candy. In a small bowl, combine remaining 1/2 cup of pecans and 1 tablespoon sugar. Press one side of each ball into pecan mix. Place nut side up on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 7 to 10 minutes, till slightly cracked.
