Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 1/4 cup light or dark brown sugar
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 2 eggs
- 1 t soda
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 t vanilla
Details
Preparation
Step 1
Cream sugar and shortening.
Add flour and salt.
Beat eggs, add milk.
Add liquid to dry ingredients and stir.
Add nuts and vanilla.
Mix soda with a little milk and add last of milk.
Pour in greased muffin tins.
Bake in 350 degree oven for 25 minutes.
