Ingredients

  • 3 cloves of roasted garlic
  • 1/2 tsp fresh thyme
  • 1/2 tsp fresh oregano
  • 1/2 cup good amber style beer
  • 1/3 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup fresh lobster stock
  • 1/3 cup hot sauce (not too hot!!)
  • 1 tsp fresh black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 lb fresh shrimp.
  • Fresh parsley and scallions to garnish.
  • 1 loaf po' boy bread or french bread.
  • Shredded lettuce, tomato slices, mayo.

Step 1


Combine garlic, thyme, oregano, beer, worcestershire sauce, lobster stock, hot sauce, black pepper and paprika in a sauce pot and reduce by about half or until desired thickness/flavor.

Quickly whisk in butter to emulsify the sauce.
Once sauce is mixed add lemon juice, parsley and scallions.
Saute shrimp in a pan until cooked about half way through, just enough to brown.

Add shrimp into warm sauce pot to continue cooking and become infused in the sauce.

Once finished make a sandwich using shrimp, some extra sauce, lettuce, tomato and mayo.
