Ingredients

  • 1/2 C solid shortening
  • 1/2 C butter, softened
  • 3/4 C cocoa
  • 1 t clear vanilla extract
  • 4 C 10x sugar ( 1 lb)
  • 3-4 T milk

Preparation

Step 1

Cream shortening & butter, add cocoa & vanilla.
Gradually add sugar 1 C at a time, beating well on medium speed. Will appear dry.
Add milk & beat on medium speed until light & fluffy.
To thin consistency: add 3-4 T light corn syrup, water or milk.
For darker icing: add additional 1/4 cocoa & add additional T of milk.
