Ingredients

3/4 c shortening
1 c brown sugar, packed
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
1/4 c water
1 tsp vanilla
1 c all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
3 c oatmeal

Preparation

Step 1

Beat shortening, sugar, egg, water and vanilla until creamy. Sift flour, salt and soda and add to mixture. Stir in oats. Bake at 350* for 12-15 minutes.
