Breads: Toni Griffin's Tea Muffins

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 cup light brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 cup sweet milk
• 1/2 t soda
• 2 scant cups all purpose flour
• 1/2 cup nuts, chopped fine

Preparation

Step 1

Combine soda into milk
Mix all ingredients
Keep in refrigerator at least 1 hour before baking (can keep more than a week)
Bake 20 minutes at 375 degrees in small muffin tins

After baked, you can freeze, then just warm in foil and serve another time - WOW
