  • 1 * 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 * 3/4 cup icing sugar
  • 1 * 1 vanilla bean, scraped
  • 2 * 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 * 2 cups walnuts, ground
  • 1 * 1 egg
  • * pinch salt

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, mix the butter, sugar, vanilla and salt until creamy.
4. Add the egg and continue mixing until combined.
5. Combine flour and ground walnuts in a separate bowl and then add them to the butter mixture.
6. Stir to combine.
7. Put the mixture in a piping bag fitted with a round tip and pipe 3-inch-long half moons on the parchment-lined baking sheet about 1 inch apart.
8. Sprinkle with sugar while cookies are still hot from the oven.
