Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 2/3 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 425 degrees. Mix sugar, shortening, margarine, vanilla, and eggs. Stir in remaining ingredients. Divide dough into 3 equal parts. Roll each part 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured board. Cut with 2" cookie cutter and sprinkle with sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until no indentations remain when touched. (6 to 8 minutes)
