Pecan Pie Surprise Bars

Ingredients

• crust:
• 1 Pillsbury Yellow Cake Mix
• 1/2 c. butter, melted
• 1 egg
• 1 c. pecans, chopped
• filling:
• 2/3 c. reserved cake mix
• 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
• 1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
• 1 t. vanilla
• 3 eggs

Preparation

Step 1

Grease bottom and sides of 9X13 pan. Reserve 2/3 cup cake mix for filling. Mix remaining cake mix, butter and 1 egg until crumbly. Press into prepared pan. Bake 350* 15 - 20 minutes or until light golden brown.

Meanwhile mix 2/3 c. reserved cake mix and remaining filling ingredients on high speed 1 to 2 minutes. Pour filling over partially baked crust. Sprinkle with pecans. Bake 30 to 35 minutes until filling is set. Cool. Cut into 36 bars
