Ingredients

  • Marinade:
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup water or cooking wine
  • 1/4 cup honey (or 1/3 cup brown sugar)
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 Korean pear (about 2 cups)
  • 8 cloves of garlic
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tsp of chopped ginger
  • ...................................................
  • 3 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs

Preparation

Step 1

Add the soy sauce, water or wine, honey or brown sugar, and black pepper to a large bowl and mix. Set aside.

Blend Korean pear, garlic onion and ginger in blender until it turns into a white creamy liquid. Add soy sauce ingredients, then add 2 tbs sesame oil.

Add the chicken to the marinade and mix it well, by hand. Put into a zip lock plastic bag and seal.

Marinate in the refrigerator for at least an hour. Overnight is better, but an hour is okay if you are short of time.

Grill or saute chicken until done.
