My Mom's Turkey Devonshire
This wonderful open-faced post-Thanksgiving favorite always features one slice of bread, bacon, turkey and cheese sauce...how could you go wrong with those ingredients?

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 1 cup of milk
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 lb sliced turkey
- 8 slices of crispy bacon
- 4 slices of tomato
- 4 slices of bread

Preparation
Step 1
In a sauce pan over medium heat melt the butter. Once melted whisk in the flour until it forms a paste, around 1 minute. Slowly whisk in the milk, allow it to simmer until milk thickens. Stir in the cheese.
On a plate begin building the sandwich. First lay down the bread, then the tomato, then the bacon, the turkey and top with a ladle full of cheese sauce. Serve hot.
