  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 lb brown sugar
  • 4 cups flour
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In medium bowl, mix thoroughly butter, brown sugar and flour. Set aside 1-1/2 cups for topping.
2. Add boiling water, baking soda and corn syrup. Mix thoroughly.
3. Pour into greased 13" x 9" greased and floured pan. Sprinkle reserved crumbs for topping.
4. Bake for approximately 40-50 minutes.
