Ingredients
- 5 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup Crisco
- 1 pkg yeast
- 3 t baking powder
- 1 t soda
- 1 T salt
- 2 T warm water
- 2 cups buttermilk
Details
Preparation
Step 1
Mix warm water with yeast-dissolve
Add sugar and buttermilk
Sift flour
Add salt, soda, baking powder
Work in shortening
Add yeast mixture and mix as ole time biscuit
Keek tightly covered in refrigerator but never freeze dough (will keep 2 weeks)
Roll dough thin and cut
Cook at 400 degrees about 15 minutes
