Cheese and Vegetables in Curried Batter

Ingredients
- 300 g broccoli, in bite size pieces
- 300 g cauliflower, in bite size pieces
- 125 g indian cheese
- plain flour
- oil for deep frying
- BATTER
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 2 tsp. curry powder
- 1/4 tsp garam masala
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 2 eggs, separated
- 2 1/2 cups milk

Preparation
Step 1
Boil, steam or microwave broccoli & cauliflower until just tender, rinse under cold water, drain. Toss in flour, shake away any excess.
BATTER
Put dry ingredients in a large bowl, gradually stir in egg yolks and milk,, mix to a smooth batter.
Just before serving, whisk egg whites in small bowl until soft peaks form, fold gently into batter.
Dip veggies in batter, deep fry in hot oil until lightly browned, drain on paper towel.
Serve hot with Indian dipping sauces.
