  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes, undrained
  • 3 1/2 cups uncooked penne pasta (about 12 oz)
  • Shredded Parmesan cheese, if desired
  • Chopped fresh Italian (flat-leaf) parsley, if desired
