Ingredients

  • 1 head of Romaine lettuce
  • 4 olives with chopped garlic from the olive bar at Wegmans
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup salad oil
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 2" long squeeze of anchovies from a tube
  • 1 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Step 1

Wash the lettuce and pat dry.
Mince the fresh garlic into the bottom of a large wooden bowl.

In a small blender, blend the green olives, Worcestershire sauce, Balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, anchovy paste, and salt. Add this mash to the garlic, and swirl together with a spoon. Add the salad oil.

Cut the lettuce into small pieces and put them into the bowl with the sauce.
Toss and serve immediately.
