Ingredients

  • DUMPLINGS:
  • 3 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • 1 whole Chicken (cut up)
  • 2 lge Onions (diced)
  • 2 tbsp Paprika
  • salt
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 tbsp Flour
  • 8 oz Sour Cream
  • 2 cups Flour (all purpose)
  • 2-3 Eggs
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Water

Preparation

Step 1

Saute Onions in Oil until clear (do not burn)
add Chicken 1 piece or two at a time until redness is gone.
Stir in Salt and Paprika, add Water bring to boil and let
simmer until Chicken is tender, about 1 hr in small bowl
add little water to flour make paste then add Sour Cream.
Stir Sour Cream mixture into Chicken just before serving.
(bring to boil and remove from heat)
Serve with Rice, Wide Noodles or Hungarian Dumplings.
Dumplings:
Combine Flour, Eggs and Salt, add Water, mix only until
Dough is gummy, drop by small amounts into boiling Salted
Water. Boil two additional mins. drain in collander, add a
little juice from Chicken.
