Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs, +or -
  • 4 tablespoons grated cheese, ramano or Parmesan
  • 2 tablespoons snipped parsley, optional
  • 4 eggs
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 pound Italian Sausage, browned
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 can Crushed tomatoes, 28 oz
  • 1 can diced tomato, 28 oz
  • 1 can italian stewed tomatoes, 14 oz
  • 1 can tomato paste, 12 oz
  • 1 teaspoon basil leaves, or sprigs of basil

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together ground meat, bread crumbs, cheese, parsley, eggs, salt and pepper. Form into approx. 24 meatballs. Brown in oven 15 minutes at 375. Saute onion in 1-2 tablespoons oil. Add the rest of the ingredients. Simmer 3-4 hours.
