Amaretto Pound Cake

Ingredients

• 3 1/4 cups all purpose flour
• 3 cups sugar
• 1/2 cup of milk
• 1/2 cup Amaretto
• 6 eggs
• 1/4 Tsp salt
• 1/2 Tsp baking powder
• 1/2 lb butter
• 1/2 cup vegetable shortening

Preparation

Step 1

Combine the sugar, butter, and shortening. Add cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour mixed with baking powder and salt to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.

Pour batter into well greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 40 minutes or until cake test is done.
