Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1-1/2 tsp baking powder
- 6 tbs butter
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tbs milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt

Preparation
Step 1
Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt. Beat butter and shortening for 30 seconds; add sugar and beat till fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well.
Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture, beating till well combined.
Cover and chill at least 3 hours.
Working with 1/2 of the dough at a time, on a lightly floured surface roll to 1/8" thickness.
Cut into desired shapes. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes or until done.
