Ingredients

  • Butter, for buttering the baking dish
  • 8 ounce package cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • Zest of 1/2 lemon
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 to 4 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp. chopped parsley
  • Hot sauce, to taste
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 cups canned or fresh crab meat, drained
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • 1 1/2 cup grated aged white cheddar
  • 1/4 cup fresh bread crumbs
  • Chopped parsley, for garnishing
  • Crackers, for serving

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Butter a 4-cup baking dish.

Whip cream cheese with electric mixer. Add mayonnaise. Whip to combine. Add lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, green onions, parsley, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and salt and pepper. Whip to combine. Add crab. Stir to combine.

Scrap into prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with cheddar and then bread crumbs. Bake until bubbly and hot, and lightly golden brown on top, about 20 to 25 minutes.

Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with crackers.
