Ingredients
- 1/2 c butter
- 1 c dark brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 6 T milk
- 2 1/2 c unsifted powdered sugar

Step 1
Melt butter in a 2 qt saucepan; stir in brown sugar and salt. Bring to a boil and boil hard for 2 min, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add milk, stirring vigorously. Put back over heat and bring to a full boil again. Set aside to cool until lukewarm (about 20 min).
Stir in powdered sugar and beat until smooth and cool enough to spread. Add milk if too stiff.
