  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
  • 4 (8 inch) flour tortillas
  • 3/4 cup fresh salsa
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, mix thoroughly the ground beef and taco seasoning; set aside. In a medium saucepan, heat the refried beans over medium low heat until they are completely heated through.
Place the enough of ground beef mixture in loaf pan to be about 1 inch thick.. Layer the refried beans, tortillas, salsa & cheese over the top of the flattened beef. Repeat layers until all is used.
Bake in preheated oven 40 to 45 minutes, or until done in center. Cut loaf in half to test for doneness, if necessary.
