  • 3/4 cups of water
  • 1/2 cup cashews
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1/2 cup of chia seeds
  • 1 1/2 t chai spice mix
  • 1 red apple, grated
  • Makes 2 servings

Preparation

Step 1

Blend the cashews,water, banana and chai spice in a high speed blender.
Divide the chia seeds into 2 serving bowls and cover in cashew banana milk mixture and mix and allow to set. I love how chia seeds change once submerged in liquid.
Top with grated apple and enjoy for a really hearty spicy breakfast
Variation: you may want it a little sweeter so blend a couple of dates in the milk mixture before setting on chia seeds, but I enjoyed the sweetness of the ripe banana and crisp red apple.
