Ingredients
- 6 Gala apples, peeled and cored
- 1 t Celtic sea salt
- 2 t cinnamon
- 5 Medjool dates, pitted
- 1 t vanilla powder
- 1 cup raisins
- 2 T flaxseed, ground fine
- Topping
- 1 cup pecans, soaked and dried
- 1 cup walnuts, soaked and dried
- 1 t Celtic sea salt
- 1 t vanilla powder
- 2 t cinnamon
- 1/2 lb organic dates, seed removed
Details
Preparation
Step 1
Place 3 apples, salt cinnamon, dates and vanilla in food processor
Process until mixture is almost the consistency of applesauce
Place mixture in a bowl
Chop the three remaining apples into small pieces
Mix all of the apples together and add raisins
The raisins will soak up the juice from the apples
Stir in flax seeds and mix well
Let mixture sist at room temperature for 1/2 hour
Place apple cobbler in a pan and add topping
Topping
Add salt, vanilla, cinnamon, pecans, walnuts in a food processor and pulse the processor
Add dates and process until the mixture is processed well
Crumble this mixture over the top of the cobbler
