  • Coca-Cola Frosting Ingredients:
  • 1 c. Coca-Cola
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
  • 1-3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1-1/2 c. miniature marshmallows
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/3 c. Coca-Cola
  • 16 oz. pkg. powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

-Combine Coca-Cola and buttermilk; set aside.
-Beat butter at low speed with an electric mixer until creamy.
-Gradually add sugar; beat until blended.
-Combine flour, cocoa and baking soda.
-Add to butter mixture alternately with cola mixture; beginning and ending with flour mixture.
-Beat at low speed just until blended.
-Stir in marshmallows.
-Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan.
-Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
-Remove from oven and cool 10 minutes.
-Meanwhile, prepare frosting by bringing the butter and Coca-Cola in a large saucepan over medium heat, stirring until butter is melted.
-Remove from heat; whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla.
-Pour freshly prepared frosting over warm cake.
