Ingredients
- 16 oz whole wheat ziti
- 1 lb bulk turkey sausage (or remove casings)
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
- or 1/2 tsp marjoram, 1 tsp oregano, and 1 1/2 tsp basil
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
- 1 cup grated Parmesan

Step 1
Cook and drain pasta. Cook sausage, onion, and garlic over medium heat until browned. Add marinara sauce and seasonings. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add pasta to sausage mixture.
Grease a 4-qt casserole with nonstick cooking spray. Spoon half of the mixture into the casserole. Top with 1 cup of mozzarella and 1/2 cup of Parmesan. Repeat. Bake at 350 uncovered 25 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.
