  • 2 egg whites

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Lightly butter an 11-by 17-inch jelly-roll pan.

Melt the butter and let cool for 5 minutes. In a large bowl, stir together the oatmeal and melted butter. Stir in the sugar and egg white until blended (the mixture will be somewhat crumbly). Press the oatmeal mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown. Cut into squares while still warm but do not remove from the baking pan until cold.
