potato soup

Ingredients

  • 1 nedium onion finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp bacon fat or margarine
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped celery leaves
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 4 medium potatoes peeled amd cubed
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 cups milk

Preparation

Step 1

melt fat and saute onions until ;ightly browned.add celery ,water,potaoes,salt and pepper.reduced heat to low and simmer,covered,about 15 minutesor until potatoes are tender,add milk and reheat to boiling point.
