Baking Powder Biscuits (freezer)

After you make these biscuits, you set them on a cookie sheet, uncooked, and place in the freezer for a few hours till they harden. Then take them out and put in zip lock. Store in freezer. You can cook as many or as few as you want. Just stick in the oven at 400 while still frozen.

Ingredients

  • 8 cups flour
  • 5 Tbsp + 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 2 Tbsp + 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 2/3 cups shortening

Step 1

Stir dry ingredients together. Add shortening. Mix together, then add milk.

Drop spoonfulls on cookie sheet and freeze. Once frozen, put in zip lock bag till needed.
