  • 4 cups pared, sliced apples
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup sifted flour
  • 1 cup sugar or packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • Cream

Preparation

Step 1

Combine apples, cinnamon, salt and water. Spread in buttered 8-inch square pan. In bowl combine flour and sugar; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 350 F for about 40 minutes. Serve warm with cream.
