Ingredients

  • 8 cups cornbran cereal
  • 2 cups pecans (halves)
  • 2 cups Almonds, 2 cups cashews, 2 cups popcorn (optional double double butter prepopped from Kernels)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

Preparation

Step 1

In small pan on stove mix brown sugar, corn syrup and butter. Heat and stir on high for 1 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda. Will look foamy when completely mixed.
In large tinfoil roastpan pour liquid over cereal and nuts. Toss til coated. Bake at 250 degree for 1 hour. Toss every 20 minutes. Cool and break apart.
