Ingredients
- Optional ingredients:
- 3 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tea. salt
- 1 12-oz. can beer, room temperature
- 1/4 cup butter, melted (for topping)
- 1 tea. cinnamon
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 cup raisins
- or
- 1 Tbsp. Italian herb mix, Tuscan Sunset or Pasta Sprinkle
- 1/4 tea. minced garlic
- 1/4 tea. crushed red pepper
- 1/2 tea. salt
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. If using a metal loaf pan or 350 if using a glass pan.
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt and stir to mix. Make a well in the center. Pour the beer in the well and then mix thoroughly. Bake as is, or add the optional ingre3dietns of your choice for a sweet raisin btread or a savory herb bread (if making herb bread mix the spices and salt with the olive oil before adding)
Pour the batter into a lightly greased loaf pan. Pour the melted butter over the top. Bake for 45-55 minutes.
let cool before slicing.
