Creamy Italian Crock Pot Chicken
This was a perfect crowd pleasing meal. Everyone loved the flavors and even ate seconds :o)
- 3 lbs of boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 8 oz package of cream cheese, softened
- 0.6 ounce package of dry Italian dressing mix
- 10.75 ounce can of cream of chicken soup
- 3/4 cup of chicken broth
- 3 Tablespoons butter
Adapted from crockpotrecipeexchange.blogspot.com
Place the chicken in a 4 - 6 quart crock pot. Sprinkle the packet of dressing mix evenly over the top of the chicken. Dot the butter over top of that. Now mix the can of soup with the broth. Pour that over top of the chicken. Place the softened block of cream cheese on top and cover with lid.
Cook on low for 6 - 7 hours or on high for 4 - 6 hours. You are looking for the cream cheese to appear melted and the chicken thighs to be cooked thoroughly.
Once the cream cheese has appeared melted, stir everything up together.
While this was cooking I also put on crock pot of basmati rice. We ate this with the rice and some steamed broccoli. It was a huge hit! Everybody went back for seconds... even Miss Maddy :o)
