- Icing - fairly stiff

- Nabisco chocolate wafers
- almond bark or candy melts - dark chocolate

Preparation
Step 1
Pipe green frosting on your cupcakes. You want a sturdy frosting (click here for my recipe) and a large open star tip. Once you’ve piped a couple of good swirls, sprinkle with Heat Green Disco Dust.
For the hats:
You need one sugar cone per hat. Using a serrated knife, gently saw the top inch off of each cone. Dip cones in melted dark chocolate (almond bark or candy melts, your choice) and place on wax paper to set.
Once set, attach to a flat chocolate cookie. I used Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers, but even half of an Oreo would probably do. Dip the top of the cookie in the melted chocolate, and set back on the wax paper, dipped side facing up. Place cone on top and wait until set.
Dab a bit of melted chocolate around the base of the cone and attach sugar pearls to make a cute band around the hat. Or it, if you actually have a life, you could skip this step.
Place hats on top of sparkly frosting. You’re done!!
