Preparation
Step 1
Line large plate {or ceramic tray} with wax/parchment paper. Set aside.
Wash strawberries well; place on paper towels to dry completely.
Chop pecans and slivered almonds.
Add water to a soup pot and place under med-high heat. Set Pyrex measuring cup in pot and add chocolate to it. Your chocolate will slowly melt; be sure to gently stir chocolate {using a spatula} for it not to burn.
*If you have a double-broiler, you can use that chocolate-melting method instead of Soup-pot/Pyrex-measuring-cup method.
Once chocolate is completely melted, grab 1 strawberry at a time and dip it in the chocolate {be sure to get most of the strawberry dipped, for it to have a nice chocolate coverage} Place on plate and sprinkle chopped pecans/almonds on it. If you choose to leave some without nuts, that is totally fine too! Repeat until all strawberries have been covered by chocolate. Place in refrigerator 1 hour to allow the chocolate to harden.
