Cheeseburger Mac & Cheese 0 Picture


  • 1 lb elbow macaroni
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 c. ketchup
  • 2 tbs yellow mustard
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 1 tbs flour
  • 1 12oz can evaporated milk
  • 2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 med tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbs seasoned bread crumbs

Step 1

Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Cook pasta according to package directions and drain.

While pasta cooks, in a skillet cook ground beef and onions, until beef is no longer pink, drain if necessary. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in ketchup and mustard. Remove to a bowl.

Return skillet to medium heat and add butter. Once melted whisk in flour cook for a minute and add milk. Bring to a simmer and cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat and season with salt and pepper add 1 ½ cup of cheese. Stir in pasta. Pour into 2 quart prepared baking dish. Top with meat mixture, remaining cheese, sliced tomatoes and bread crumbs. Spritz with cooking spray. Bake for 20 minutes. Increase heat to broil and broil for 2 minutes.
