  • CAKE:
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. almond extract
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1 cup milk
  • FROSTING:
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp. milk, or as needed
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar

Step 1

1. For cake combine all dry ingredients mix.
2. Add wet ones one at a time. Mix for 3 minutes.
3. Pour into muffin tins,3/4 way full.
4. Bake at 350 for minutes.
5. For the frosting mix the peanut butter and margarine. Gradually mix in sugar,when starts to get thick add milk one tbsp. at a time until thick and spreadable. Mix for 3 more minutes or until fluffy.
6. Spread on cupcakes and sprinkle with crushed peanuts and chopped baking chocolate.
7. May add chocolate to center.
