Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef, pork & veal mixture (meat loaf mixture)
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh or 1 tsp dried basil leaves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 large green bell peppers, cut into 1" squares

Preparation

Step 1

1) Brush grill rack with olive oil or vegetable oil and heat grill.
2) Mix all ingredients except bell peppers.
3) Shape mixture into 1" balls.
4) Thread meatballs & bell pepper squares alternately on each of four 12" metal skewers, leaving space between each piece.
5) Cover & grill kabobs about 4" from medium heat about 10 minutes, turning frequently, until meatballs are no longer pink in center.
