Flamm Orchards is a major peach producer in southern Illinois. The Flamm family likes to churn peach ice cream on the Fourth of July. The whole group gets involved in ice cream prep, then eating.

Ingredients
- 2 lb. fresh peaches or 2 16-oz. packages frozen unsweetened peach slices, thawed
- 2 14-oz. cans sweetened condensed milk, chilled
- 1-1/3 cups milk

Preparation
Step 1
1. Wash fresh peaches and remove the pits, if using. Cut up fresh peaches, if using. Place half of the fresh or thawed peaches in a blender. Cover and blend until smooth. Transfer pureed peaches to a large bowl. Repeat with remaining peaches. You should have about 2-3/4 cups pureed peaches. Add sweetened condensed milk and milk to pureed peaches; stir until well combined. Transfer the mixture to a 4- or 5-quart ice cream freezer. Freeze according to the manufacturer's directions. If you like, ripen for 4 hours before serving. Makes about 10 cups (20 servings.)
