Chocolate Bowls

By

no balloons? try this: There's no need to run to the store if you don't have small balloons on hand. Instead, make these cute cups with parchment paper. Fit 6 inch square parchment sheets into 6 muffin wells, making fold as necessary. Brush each with 2 to 3 tablespoons of melted chocolate. Chill 30 minutes or until set. Remove from pan and gently peel parchment from chocolate. Fill as desired.

Preparation

Step 1

Melt 2 cups of chocolate chips in dry heat-proof bowl over pot of simmering water, stirring (bowl should not touch water.) On lined baking sheet, place six 1-teaspoon dollops of chocolate 3 inches apart. One at a time, dip bottom 1/3 of small balloons (inflated to size of tennis ball) in bowl of melted chocolate; set balloon on chocolate dollop.
Place the baking sheet with the balloons in the refrigerator; chill 30 mins. or until set. While holding the top of a balloon, use a needle to prick a small hole near the knot to deflate it. Repeat with remaining balloons.
Once deflated, use your fingers to remove the balloons by carefully peeling them away from the chocolate discard balloons. Fill chocolate bowls as desired, or store at cool room temperature until needed.
