Ingredients

  • 2 pkgs (11 oz each) refrigerated French bread dough, divided
  • 7 slices American cheese
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 dill pickle slices, diced
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed
  • 1 lb lean ground beef, cooked, crumbled & drained
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup (1 oz) shredded Parmesan cheese (optional)

Step 1

1) Preheat oven to 400.
2) Unroll one pkg of bread dough onto round stone. Roll & stretch to edge of stone.
3) Cut cheese slices in half and arrange evenly over dough to within 1-inch of edge.
4) In medium bowl, combine onion, pickles, ketchup & garlic; mix well.
5) Add cooked ground beef to ketchup mixture.
6) Spoon meat mixture over cheese, spreading evenly.
7) Unroll second bread dough directly over filling.
8) Trim excess dough from corners using a pizza cutter, forming an even edge. Roll & crimp edges to seal.
9) Drizzle oil over dough, spread evenly.
10) Sprinkle parmesan cheese over dough.
11) Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut three crisscross cuts, about 6 inches long, across the center of the dough to vent.
12) Bake 18-20 minutes or until deep golden brown.
13) Cut into wedges and serve.
