  • Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting:
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 bottle (1 oz.) red fool color
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 4 tbsp. butter, softened
  • 2 tbsp. sour cream
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 box (16 oz.) powdered sugar

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Mix flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; set aside

Beat butter and sugar with electric mixer on medium for 5 minutes or until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Mix in sour cream, milk, food color, and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture on low speed. Spoon into 30 paper-lined muffin cups (2/3 full). Bake 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pans 5 minutes. Remove and cool completely. Spread with Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting.
