Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet onions
  • 8 slices bacon cut in half
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp molasses
  • 12-14 large shrimp
  • wooden skewers, soaked in water

Preparation

Step 1

Cut onions into 8 wedges. Wrap an onion wedge with bacon and place on a skewer. Place a shrimp on the skewer. Alternate shrimp with wrapped onion wedges on skewers until finished. Place the skewers in a baking dish. Combine the sugar, vinegar and molasses. Drizzle the marinade over the skewers. Place in the fridge and marinate at least one hour. Grill over medium heat until shrimp is no longer pink and the onions are crisp tender
